The 2012 Golden Globes are in the past, leaving us to go over Ricky Gervais's jokes, Meryl Streep's cursing, George Clooney's reference to Michael Fassbender's penis, and much more. Well, there were some winners too, of course. The Artist and The Descendants won the top two film prizes in Comedy and Drama, respectively, while beloved veteran Martin Scorsese swooped in to take home Best Director for Hugo. The acting winners went pretty much as expected but were still a delight to watch, with pros like George Clooney and Meryl Streep giving excellent and polished acceptance speeches, while Octavia Spencer, Michelle Williams and especially French The Artist star Jean Dujardin looking adorably flustered. And at some point we'll have to hunt down a video of the whole The Artist team accepting their prize-- they brought up the film's canine co-star Uggie to celebrate along with everybody else.
We'll be going over all that and much more in separate posts. But if you just want the basics-- that is, the list of all the big winners-- you've come to the right place. Below is the full list of Golden Globes winners for film-- you can click the link below to see the full list of TV winners in our TV Blend section-- and if you missed our liveblog, you can replay all the action below the list of winners. And for those of you who were there for the liveblog, thanks for helping us celebrate the ridiculousness that is the Golden Globes in proper style!
