Gotham Cops Bust A Stormtrooper In Bizarre Batman-Star Wars Mash Up
If Batman or Superman ever crossed paths with the Star Wars universe, the Internet quite possibly would melt due to the amount of traffic and heat generated by fan interest. Forget Superman versus Lex Luthor. We ALL want to see Batman against Darth Vader. This, for now, might be the closest that we get.
Zack Snyder, who might have too much time on his hands, posted a funny photo on his Twitter feed showing Gotham cops arresting a Stormtrooper, of all things. "Case closed," writes Snyder, showing the Stormtrooper being pushed into the back of a squad car while a second officer looks, confused, at a blaster. What case was even open? Must have been that rumor that the Batmobile was possibly stolen off of the Batman v Superman set. And given the fact that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is filming in Detroit, why wasn’t THIS guy on the scene?
The picture gives us another glance at the new Batmobile for Ben Affleck’s Batman, and that vehicle has had a bust couple of days. First, it was photographed on the streets of Detroit. Then, Zack Snyder shared an official look at the car. Then, we saw it in action.
I’m not sure the point of this Star Wars crossover. Perhaps Snyder is lobbing a challenge over to J.J. Abrams? And given how busy that filmmaker has been on the social media for Star Wars: Episode VII, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bad Robot Twitter account responded in some clever way.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters on March 25, 2016. With or without Stormtroopers. This isn’t the first Batman/Star Wars team up this year, though. Click to the next page to refresh your memory and enjoy Batman's first meet up with legends of the Star Wars universe!
