Grace Is Gone Gets A Powerful Trailer
John Cusack is one of my favorite actors, hands down. He’s just always been someone relatable. His characters are very real, made accessible through his skill and talent in such a way that there are a few Cusack movies that I just can’t watch a second time. Sometimes sharing his character’s story is just too raw an experience to go through again.
His next picture is tackling some pretty heavy stuff and I expect it’ll be along those same lines of being difficult to watch more than once. In fact, if the trailer is any indication than I know it will be. The story stars Cusack as a father left to try and raise his two daughters after his military Sergeant wife ships out and is killed in duty. Just the trailer is hard to watch, from the moment Cusack opens the door to the soldiers there to deliver the bad news to Cusack’s call to his own answering machine just to talk with his dead wife.
Yahoo! Movies has the theatrical trailer available online and it’s definitely worth a look. It’s heart-rending, which means the movie is definitely going to be harsh, but it’s good to see Cusack continuing his streak of realistic, accessible characters.
