Gwyneth Paltrow To Star In Foodie Film Blood, Bones & Butter
It looks like Gwyneth Paltrow is gearing up to star in her very own version of Julia & Julia. THR is reporting that the actress is now in talks to star in an adaptation of Blood, Bones & Butter, a film based on the food memoir written by Gabrielle Hamilton. The film will follows Hamilton as she grows up - she was the youngest of five to a "French mother and an artist father who made the sets for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus " - and works to become both a chef and get her MFA at the University of Michigan. Hamilton is the chef at New York's Prune restaurant.
Right off the bat Paltrow has an insight to the character as she has some cooking and publishing experience of her own. In 2011 she released "My Father's Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness," which featured an introduction from world-renowned chef Mario Batali. She also created Goop.com which provides readers with recipes and kitchen tips. The project doesn't have a director yet, but Rodrigo Teixeira is set to produce along with Anne Carey and Mindy Goldberg. They are currently looking for a writer to adapt the story.
Paltrow, in the meantime, is currently down in North Carolina reprising her role as Pepper Potts in Iron Man 3. She recently completed work on the sex addiction dramedy Thanks For Sharing, which co-stars Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins, Joely Richardson, Patrick Fugit, Josh Gad and Carol Kane.
