Hero Blend #67: The Consequences Of Ant-Man (Spoiler Edition!)

When compared to many of the titles in the Marvel Studios canon, Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man is one of the more self-contained stories… but that doesn’t mean that it hasn’t had a major impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole. Just the various characters the movie introduces adds new levels to the continuity, and many of the event shown will likely have ripple effects going into what has been dubbed Phase Three. And that’s exactly what we’re spending this week’s Hero Blend talking about.

With Ant-Man now out in theaters, it’s time to have a SPOILER-FILLED discussion about the film and what it means for the future of the MCU. How can we expect to see Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang enter the fray in Captain America: Civil War? When will Evangeline Lilly get the chance to wear her new Wasp costume? Is it possible that Janet Van Dyne is still alive? What do the Quantum Realm and Doctor Strange have linking them together? We talk about all that and much more in this week’s episode.

Once again joining me as my co-host this week is the lovely Roth Cornet from HitFix, who had a particular fondness for Ant-Man and has some great thoughts about how it will impact the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward. Enjoy the show!
