High Impact Infidelity
Warner Brothers is planning a diet of infidelity for moviegoers. Variety says they’ve hired Mickey Birnbaum to adapt the well-known novel “The High Impact Infidelity Diet” into a movie
The book is about women with fat husbands. To get their spouses to slim down, they offer their 300 lbs heads of household a deal: Each husband who loses enough weight to get to 210 will receive a pass for a night with a hot hooker one of the wives knows from college. What the women don’t expect, is success.
There’s no such hooker, it’s all a ruse to get their husbands dieting. The men actually start losing the weight their women end up in a mad scramble to find an appropriately hot whore.
Why does this sound like the next project from Pizza the Movie’s Donald Gregory? Where’s Jason Muzie, he’d be a perfect fit. Cheesy though the concept sounds, the book got great reviews and apparently the WB believes in it as a possible movie. Birnbaum says, “This looks at the dieting industry through the eyes of men when you usually see it through the eyes of women.” So I guess if Weight Watchers was geared towards men they’d hold their meetings at a whorehouse and offer men the chance to exchange their unused points for a BJ from a hooker. Actually, that might work. Take me to a treadmill!
