High-Res Images From The Avengers Arrive Online

Scans from the pages of a magazine are nice when you really want to see new images from a highly anticipated film, but nothing beats high-res photos. Take, for example, the stills from The Avengers that arrived online last week. It was awesome seeing Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) standing in front of an explosion and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) firing a gun, but the color was a bit off and the pictures were a bit grainy. Fortunately replacements have arrived online.

SHH has received seven new high-res photos from The Avengers. Most of the images are from the magazine, but two of them - the one with Johansson sitting down with director Joss Whedon and the one with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Captain America (Chris Evans) looking at the sky - are brand spanking new. Check out a few of them below and head over to SHH for the rest.

The ultimate sequel to Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor, The Avengers sees some of the greatest Marvel heroes of all time finally on screen together ready to battle the forces of evil. Also starring Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg and Stellan Skarsgård, the film is set to hit theaters on May 4, 2012. For more from the film, be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database.
