Hey kids! How about some more Hudgens? Clothed this time, and enlarged ten times her normal TV size. No, I’m not talking implants. Variety says that Disney has at last finished locking up the entire High School Musical cast for what will surely be the Mouse’s most profitable theatrical venture since Escape to Witch Mountain.
The movie is High School Musical 3, third installment in the mega television and DVD franchise which has made Disney billions and yet has never been on cinema screens. Until now that is. The third movie will be a theatrical venture titled High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman are now all confirmed to be back for it, looking as sickeningly perfect as ever.
This is particularly bad news for me. Since it’s such a phenomenon I’m sure I’ll be forced to review this thing whenever it shows up in theaters. I’ve been able to avoid the whole HSM mess so far. DVDs aren’t my beat, I don’t have kids so the Disney Channel is off my radar, and I leave all the listening of bad music to our music editor Mack Rawden. Now though, Disney has me in its clutches. There’s every reason to believe that High School Musical 3 will be another disgustingly massive hit, so start planning to avoid movie theaters for at least a month around its release… unless you love knocking kids off of skateboards in order to get up to the box office for a ticket.
