The Hitcher might just be another in a long line of recent horror remakes, but there’s one thing that sets this one apart from the Texas Chainsaw Massacres, Amityville Horrors, and Wickermans of the world. Sean Bean.
Bean is one of Hollywood’s most consistently bad ass bad guys. Whenever you see Sean Bean in a movie, you know who the bad guy is. The closest he’s gotten to a good guy is as Boromir in Lord of the Rings, and even then he only makes the right call at the last minute as he’s facing death. Sean Bean is one bad ass bad guy, and I’m looking forward to seeing him menace young people in the remake of The Hitcher.
The movie arrives in January, and Rogue Pictures has just sent us the first official poster for the film. It looks good, though I was expecting something a little more shadowed.
