Hoodwinked Trailer
Hollywood needs to wake up and realize that there are many different types of people out there. I know we’ve already had the multicultural boom occur, so now how about recognizing different operating systems???
Take this trailer for Hoodwinked, the new animated comedy from Nickelodeon Studios. I’ve had the link to the trailer for several days, but since my primary computer is a Mac I couldn’t get to it. Considering the plot description included Anthony Anderson’s name early on, I wasn’t exactly inspired to get my PC fired up, although Anne Hathaway’s name finally got me turned on. It turns out the trailer website isn’t Firefox friendly either. So, finally switching to that fifth-reicht standard Internet Explorer I could finally see the site.
Of course, once I was there I still had to wade through shorts for SpongeBob Squarepants and Jimmy Neutron, as well as commercials for fruit twisters before I finally found the Hoodwinked trailer. I’m not sure after watching it that it was worth all the trouble.
Hoodwinked offers an alternate take on the age old story of Little Red Riding Hood. When Red (Anne Hathaway) and the Wolf (Patrick Warburton) come into conflict, the police (Anthony Anderson and Xzibit) intervene and begin an investigation revealing Red isn’t so innocent, the Wolf isn’t so bad, and it even appears Grandma (Glenn Close) may be some sort of secret agent.
Although the trailer looks fun, and I’m sure little kids will probably get some kicks from the final movie, Nickelodeon and AOL have a lot to learn about delivering online content. If you decide to click the link below, cross your fingers and your toes, do a little luck dance, and pray to your nearest deity that you’ll actually be able to see the trailer. Otherwise just wait for the movie’s December release.
