The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Shines Its Spotlight On Julianne Moore's President Coin

Look alive, Hunger Games fans. Your first official look at Francis Lawrence’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 has arrived, courtesy of the interactive Web site, TheHungerGamesExclusive.com. The emphasis on this initial push lies on Julianne Moore’s President Coin – an integral part of the Mockingjay story and a fresh new addition to the Hunger Games family. We haven’t met Julianne Moore’s character on screen yet, but the actress sits down for a brief interview on the site (which you can access by clicking the photo below):

And the Web site shares pics of her in character both solo (above) and opposite the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, in character as Plutarch Heavensbee. These names!

Images aren’t the only hook of this elaborate and high-tech movie Web site (a tremendous step ahead of most other "official" sites dedicated to looming blockbusters). The Hunger Games fans can dig around and enjoy: a Q-and-A with Lawrence, producer Nina Jacobson, and screenwriter Peter Craig; behind-the-scenes stills; an interactive sneak peek at a page from the film’s script; and a gorgeous motion poster.

You know who is missing? Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who is far too busy promoting her OTHER franchise -- X-Men: Days of Future Past -- but is sure to be the focal point of the many, many other marketing materials sure to arrive before we’re able to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 on screen on November 21, 2014.

P.S. we're well aware she looks kind of like Rogue's mother from X-Men. If you flip over to the next page, you can see a photo comparison...
