Maybe this is just a Dallas phenomenon, but round here the $30,000 millionaire is pretty common. For the sake of this piece, I'm going to assume it's a localized infestation and spell it out for the rest of you.
Picture a brand new Mercedes. Now picture it parked in front of a single-wide trailer. This is the home of a $30,000 millionaire. They�re the sleazeball guys who spend their nights hanging out at the hottest clubs, waving cash around, showing off their Hum Vees and BMWs, only to spend their days working a janitorial job in downtown office building. In Dallas, it's not how much you make that matters, it's how much you can fool people into thinking you make
Well, someone has finally gotten around to making a movie about it. About time, it�s pretty ripe territory for a good comedy. I'm pissed I didn�t think of it myself. The film is $30,000 Millionaires, and it's being produced by local Dallas news reporter Jay Gormley and SuperCala.com webmaster John Venable. Alright, not exactly glowing credentials. But, according to Gormley their script is getting heavy interest, and they already have all the money they need to start shooting. Will the film be more than just a low budget, local indie? Hard to say at this point, but the concept should be easy to turn into something killer.

They live like rock stars on shoestring incomes. They survive on maxed-out credit cards and drive leased beamers. They spend their nights at "see and be seen" bars, only to return home to their tiny apartments in trendy uptown Dallas. Remember, it's not what you make, it's what you fake."
