New Ice Age Continental Drift Trailer Features Funny Sid Moments
Come July, those looking for a laugh and the opportunity to cool off in the comfort of an air-conditioned theater might consider Ice Age 4: Continental Drift. The latest installment of Blue Sky's Paleolithic-set animated franchise arrives in theaters July 13. The latest trailer has arrived online and gives us a few new glimpses at what's ahead for Sid, Manny and Diego.
Ice Age: Continental Drift will have woolly mammoth Manny (Ray Romano), giant ground sloth Sid (John Leguizamo) and Smilodon Diego (Denis Leary) setting off on a new adventure and determined to get home to their families. Excitement, danger and pirates await!
If you saw the previously released trailer, some of what's in the trailer might seem familiar to you. But there are a few new bits worth a chuckle worked into the video (courtesy of iTunes).
Just as the previous trailer did, this one begins with Scrat's acorn obsession resulting in a major continental shift, and ends with Diego trying to look tough, and failing thanks to Sid. Speaking of Sid, there are some new moments added in to the trailer, and he's in some of the best of them. Between his frozen-salt-face, the furry/fury confusion ("Or face your furry what?!") and his inability to identify an L-word that isn't some kind of transmittable ailment, he stole the show in this trailer as far as I'm concerned. But then again, I've always been a Sid fan.
In addition to Romano, Leguizamo and Leary, Ice Age: Continental Drift will feature the voices of Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Nicki Minaj, Aziz Ansari, Drake, Keke Palmer, Josh Gad, Alan Tudyk, Nick Frost, Joy Behar.
