New Image From The Avengers Features Thor And Agent Coulson
Clark Gregg has a strange job in the Marvel movie universe. As S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson, he is the only one who has crossed character arcs but doesn't have powers and isn't in a position of leadership. He merely gets the chance to be a part of a super secret organization and hang out with superheroes all day. And that's exactly what he's doing in the new still from The Avengers.
The official Avengers Facebook page has posted a brand new still from the film that features Agent Coulson chilling with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in the Helicarrier, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s city-sized flying base of operations. Scope out the image below and head over to the Facebook page to see it full size.
While I'm not 100% certain, I think this may be from the scene that I watched this past summer at D23. In that particular sequence Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) is talking to an imprisoned Loki (Tom Hiddleston) while the rest of the Avengers watch the conversation from various monitors around the base. Considering that this image has Coulson and Thor looking at a monitor, I think it's a fairly safe guess.
The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon, also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Cobie Smulders. The film will arrive in theaters on May 4th, but for now you can see more from the title over in our Blend Film Database.
