Indy 4 Plot Scraps
With the Simpsons movie finally getting made, anything is possible. Maybe even the long rumored, long stalled Indiana Jones 4.
Indy 4 producer Frank Marshall has sent a lot of mixed messages about the project in the past, but lately he’s been more consistent. The film is finally moving ahead, and they’re sounding a lot more serious about getting it made.
Recently, Marshal spoke to the Australian newspaper the Herald Sun and dropped some tiny details on what the plot of the now finished Indy 4 script is. After confirming that the project is “still on the frontburner”, Marshall revealed that the new movie will be set 10 or 12 years after the last one. That ought to make Harrison’s current crotchety state more appropriate. He also assures fans that they’ve got the bare minimums covered, “It will be a story that makes sense and is believable." Thanks Frank. We’d all just assumed you were shooting for that. Great, now I’m nervous about it.
With prices skyrocketing Stateside Marshall says they may shoot this one in Australia. Why? It’s cheaper. He says, “Australia is a definite possibility for Indiana Jones and a couple of other things I am working on at the moment."
No surprise there. Anything with George Lucas’s name around it is a candidate for Australian filming. He loves the low low prices in the land down under, and shot some of the Star Wars prequels there.
