Infuriating Trailer For The Wall Street Documentary Inside Job
So here we have a documentary about the corruption inside Wall Street that caused the 2008 economic breakdown, and it wasn’t made by Michael Moore. Inside Job looks to expose the people who knew that the meltdown was coming and, instead of taking action to prevent it, used it for their own economic gain until the rest of the country was floundering in their own debt, unemployment, and poverty. It even suggests that politicians, including Barack Obama, are willing not to explore the real causes of the crisis to protect the people behind it.
I say the trailer is infuriating because it looks like the film does a good job exposing those truths, which in turn will have you shaking your fist at the screen in hopes of getting your hands on just one of these multi-million dollar salaried suits. Seriously, what a bunch of assholes.
The film was made by Charles Ferguson whose last incendiary documentary was No End In Sight, a look at the American occupation of Iraq. While I like Michael Moore's films, Ferguson looks like he could be more bent on exposing people for what they’ve done rather than just wearing a hat and pointing fingers at people.
Sony Pictures Classics dropped the trailer online and I highly recommend you check it out if you’re at all interested in learning about the corruption beneath this country’s financial crisis.
