Some movie trailers aren't made to explain the story. Some are just used to establish style and tone and, perhaps, do a bit of world building. This is most definitely one of those times.
IGN has premiered the first red band trailer for The RZA's The Man With The Iron Fists and while you will walk away from the preview having no idea what the film is actually about, you will know exactly what the movie is trying to do. Extremely violent and epically weird, the trailer is worth watching if not just for the conversations that it may spur. I would definitely not recommend this for anyone still at work or underage, but everyone else should check it out right now.
Set in feudal China, The Man With The Iron Fists stars The RZA as a blacksmith who works to provide his small village with the weapons they need to defend themselves. When local clans hinge on the brink of war, however, he makes the choice to harness an ancient energy that turns him into a human weapon. The film co-stars Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Rick Yune, Jamie Chung, Cung Le, Dave Bautista, Byron Mann, Daniel Wu and Pam Grier, and doesn't yet have an official release date.
