Iron Man 3 Debuts A Mash-Up International Poster
What do you get when you throw a bunch of Iron Man 3 posters into a blender? The movie's "brand new" international poster, courtesy of IGN UK!
Those of you who have been following the daily updates for the new Marvel Studios film will probably notice that this bit of Photoshop disaster was made by combining elements from previously released artwork, including characters posters for The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce), and the most recent one-sheet featuring Iron Man and Pepper Potts (Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow). As a result the new poster is a bit boring in addition to being an eyesore, but at the very least it does remind us that Iron Man 3 is just around the corner, right?
As we get closer and closer to the release of the new superhero film we've been seeing more from the new movie, including plenty of new footage in the second theatrical trailer - which arrived online earlier this month -as well as yesterday's new TV spot. We even got news about Avengers 2 director Joss Whedon's impressed reaction to Iron Man 3 this morning. Don't expect the flow to stop until the movie's theatrical release on May 3rd, either.
Directed and co-written by Shane Black, Iron Man 3 finds the titular superhero trying to put his life back together after the shocking events during the Battle For New York. Unfortunately, his recovery is interrupted when the terrorist known as The Mandarin orders an attack that completely upends Tony Stark's life. From there he must go on a mission not only for revenge, but also to discover the identity of the real hero, be it the man or the armor.
