Iron Man 3 Reveals Igor And Heartbreaker Armors
The Unlock The Armors contest continues! Just yesterday we told you about the brand new campaign on the official Iron Man 3 Facebook page, where both the Silver Centurion and Shotgun suits were revealed in glorious detail, and tonight we have for you the first close-up looks at both the Heartbreaker (Mark XVII) and Igor (Mark XXXVIII) designs. See the former above and the latter below.
When the most recent theatrical trailer for the new Marvel Studios movie arrived online earlier this month there was tons of speculation that the Igor suit was actually the Hulkbuster armor from the comics, but it would seem now that those guesses might have been unfounded. That said, of all the designs that Tony Stark has designed over the last four movies, I still think Igor is probably the one that he would want to be wearing while going up against Bruce Banner's giant green alter ego.
We've been seeing a ton of stuff from Iron Man 3 over the last few weeks, but there's a very simple reason: the movie is almost here. When April arrives next month we will only be one month away from the theatrical release of the Shane Black-directed film, and I couldn't be more excited. Everything we've seen from it thus far has been nothing short of thrilling, and while it has a lot to live up to being in the wake of The Avengers, it looks like it's ready to step up to the challenge.
Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Sir Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Jon Favreau, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, and James Badge Dale, and will be in theaters on May 3rd.
