Iron Man 3 Trailer Description Possibly Leaked

Marvel Studios made a splash (literally and figuratively) at San Diego Comic-Con when they stormed Hall H with brand new footage from Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, which continues to film in Wilmington, N.C. The scenes showed Robert Downey Jr. testing out some newfound abilities to summon his armor from a distance. Black and Team Marvel concluded the clip with several action scenes that ended with Tony Stark in the ocean as his Malibu mansion was submerged.
According to an AICN reader, some of that footage might be included in an Iron Man 3 trailer that was test-screened for potential audiences. Take this with grain of salt, but the eager contributor says that the clip he (or she) was shown:
”Opens with a voice over of Tony Stark talking about how the events of New York (I’m assuming the Avenger movie) changed him, and how he’s just not “into it” anymore.First scene is Iron Man with battle damage, laying down amid rubble and taking off his faceplate to show a bleeding Stark. Scenes of him arguing with Pepper Potts in the armory. (Cool shots of alternative Iron Man suits including the red white and blue one we’ve seen on your site already), press conferences, Tony looking solemn, Tony talking with someone who looks like a psychiatrist, and a short shot of Don Cheadle in military uniform (no War Machine in the preview). Also one scene of who I presume is the Mandarin, forcefully landing and cracking the ground. However, it looked like a silver Iron Man. I was unable to tell in the brief view who it was (maybe due to unfinished CGI).We then get a voice over from Ben Kingsley, talking about how there are no heroes and how he will teach everyone, especially Stark, a lesson. This is over scenes of the alternative Suits getting blown up, Stark going into surgery, and a fleet of helicopters launching missiles which blow Stark’s home up and apart. (The CGI looked nearly finished) and sending Stark and Pepper into the sea below. Then a close up of Kingsley with no helmet in the Mandarin armor. It ends with Iron Man underwater swimming towards what looks like his ‘heart reactor thing.’ Then the logo, then Stark walking in the snow dragging a large bag, then the logo again.”
OK, because we were able to see the Comic-Con footage -- and we saw the latest armor -- we can clarify a few of this fan's mistakes. The voiceover in the second half of the clip is actually Guy Pearce, who plays Aldrich Killian in the sequel. The destruction of the alternate suits and the mansion were shown in Hall H, so there’s a great chance they will be shown in the first official trailer. It’s going to blow people away.
Also, we did see Kingsley as Mandarin in the Comic-Con footage, and he isn’t wearing armor. But the first few scenes described by this contributor are different from what was shown in San Diego.
Now, we’re left to wonder when we’ll be able to see the trailer itself. The footage at Comic-Con looked extremely finished. They could attach that reel to ParaNorman this weekend, and fans would go nuts. But from all of this news, it’s sounding like Black is delivering on Marvel’s promise of stripping Stark of all his comforts, bringing him back to the days of the cave, when he had to fight to survive. We can not wait.
