J.B. Smoove Added To The Cast Of We Bought A Zoo
J.B. Smoove is having one hell of a 2011 and we're only three days in. Earlier today the Curb Your Enthusiasm actor and former Saturday Night Live writer had a sitcom pitch picked up by Fox and now he's landed another movie role. Snuck in at the end of a report by Variety, Smoove will play a part in Cameron Crowe's We Bought A Zoo, which already sports an amazing cast that includes the likes of Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Patrick Fugit, Thomas Haden Church, Elle Fanning, and Angus MacFadyen. In the film, Damon plays a recently widowed father who fulfills his dead wife's wish of buying a zoo in the English countryside. Thanks to the brevity of the announcement, it's unknown what role Smoove will be playing.
The best part of Date Night and my favorite character on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Smoove is hysterically funny and it was only a matter of time before he started getting recognition. With upcoming roles in both the Farrelly brother's Hall Pass and David Gordon Green's The Sitter, this could be the year that he finally gets past Pootie Tang.
