JLO Crosses A Familiar Bridge
Although the tabloids have been plastered with famous faces and celebrity problems (wahhh for them), one name has been shockingly absent: Jennifer Lopez. Settling down with Mark Anthony has added some balance to her life and kept her out of the public eye, at least for a brief while. But now she’s back, and returning safely to her comfort zone.
Yet another romantic comedy is in the works for J-Lo, who seems insistent on shattering her chances of being taken seriously as an actress. She was really good in Selena and Out of Sight, but movies like Monster-In-Law and The Wedding Planner are better money-makers. Never underestimate the alluring power of the big green.
According to Variety, next up for Lopez is Bridge & Tunnel for New Line Cinema. In the romantic comedy, she will play a stock trader who counts on a suburban teen proficient at day-trading on his home computer. Greg Berlanti is directing with Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro producing.
The male lead has yet to be cast, but something tells me it won’t be Ben Affleck. Production will begin in late Spring.
