James Gunn About To Reveal More Guardians Of The Galaxy Secrets
Those who have already purchased their own Blu-ray copies of Guardians of the Galaxy and mined all of the special features on the disc are likely acutely aware that director James Gunn has already recorded a commentary track for the 2014 summer blockbuster. If you've already listened to that, however, and are in desperate need of even more behind-the-scenes info on the Marvel movie, I have some very good news: Gunn wants to sit down and watch the film with you tonight.
James Gunn has announced on his personal Twitter feed that tonight he will be hosting a very special live-commentary of Guardians of the Galaxy. Fans are invited to pop in their copies of the movie into their Blu-ray/DVD players and follow the filmmaker's Facebook account at 7pm PST/10pm EST for a commentary and Q&A session during movie. What's more, there are plans to have special guests appear - though those names are being kept a secret for now. You can check out the official invite below, which comes with a special little video game version of the director (who can also be found in the special features of the home video release):
Since Guardians of the Galaxy was released in theaters this past August, James Gunn has done an absolutely fantastic job bringing fans further into the movie with stories and images from the production. You'd think that he must have revealed absolutely everything to this point, and yet we are still fascinated by the idea of what he might bring up during tonight's live commentary. It probably won't provide us with any big announcements regarding 2017's Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - but you never know what hints or clues he may drop. Plus, this would be a terrific forum for Gunn to address all of the lingering Easter Eggs that are in the film. He has already openly talked about items like the Adam Warlock cocoon and the figure that fans thought was Beta Rey Bill - but surely there are many, many more that people still have not yet picked up on. Hell, this might actually be the perfect forum to reveal the big one that he claims everyone has missed.
As mentioned, Guardians of the Galaxy is on both Blu-ray and DVD now, and hopefully you all won't burn out your copies before Guardians of the Galaxy 2 arrives on May 5, 2017.
