Jared Leto's Joker Is Not Going To Look Like Jesus
Are we watching the birth of a new Joker? It sure looks that way. David Ayer is hard at work preparing to shoot his Suicide Squad for Warner Bros. and DC. And he has been teasing Twitter followers that something was going to happen today. Then, perhaps in preparation for that reveal, he Tweeted the following:
If you are going to turn Jared Leto into the Joker, you should! You know it. And even Leto knows it. If you saw the Dallas Buyers Club star on the red carpet at the Oscars, he was telling everyone (including E! Online) that the Academy Awards was a "farewell tour" for his flowing locks… the ones that made him look like Jesus.
But Jared Leto has agreed to play the maniacal evil supervillain in David Ayer’s criminal team up movie, acting as the instigator for a series of missions carried out by some of DC’s finest crooks – from the Joker’s true love, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), to the trained assassin Deadshot (Will Smith). And that means the locks of love have to go. So today, while we are on official Suicide watch, it also means that we are enjoying Shave Patrol. Could it be possible that David Ayer will social-media share the process of turning Jared Leto into the Joker? Could the day end with a make-up test of the Clown Prince, in full white face? It’s very possible, though as of Sunday night the actor still sported the hairy beard-face of Christ, as per his Instagram page:
And, as we all know, he eventually has to look like this!
It’s early in the day. But we will continue to track David Ayer and Jared Leto’s various social media feeds to see if the Suicide Squad team is busy building a Joker today.
