Jesse Eisenberg Has Finally Revealed If He's Appearing In Justice League Part One
Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has elicited some very strong reactions from fans and moviegoers alike. While the movie was visually stunning and it was fun to finally see Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in a movie together, the film lacked some in regards to plot and certain performances. On the other hand, some actors’ performances helped to keep the movie afloat, one of the strongest being Jesse Eisenberg’s unique take on super villain Lex Luthor. And since Eisenberg’s adaptation of Lex hit the silver screen, fans have been wondering if he’ll be appearing in the upcoming Justice League Part One. Luckily for us, we finally have that answer.
Digital Spy is reporting that Jesse Eisenberg officially announced his participation in Justice League while at an appearance at MCM London Comic-Con. In regards to his role in the superhero team-up movie, Eisenberg said the following:
Finally, we have some answers. It looks like the delightfully insane DCEU version of Lex Luthor will be messing stuff up for the Justice League once they’re finally assembled. Thanks for the info, Jesse.
The last we saw Lex Luthor was when he was being admitted to a maximum security prison, following the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We were privy to his admittance into custody, including a new orange jumpsuit, and a complimentary head shave, courtesy of the facility he’s being held in. After two and half hours of craziness, it was definitely satisfying to see Lex finally rocking the bald head at the end of the film.
So now the question is, how exactly will Lex Luthor fit into Justice League Part One?
One possibility is that Lex remains in captivity, but the likes of Batman and Superman need his help or intel regarding their next big bad guy. The villain seems to have communicated with some alien force during Batman v Superman’s deleted scene, so perhaps the big bad of Justice League will be connected to that strange scene. Plus, who doesn’t want to see Lex doing his best Hannibal Lecter behind bars?
Alternatively, Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor could give us an old fashioned prison break during the events of Justice League Part One. Lex has never been known to stay down for long, and his vast resources have usually found him breaking out of prison shortly after being apprehended.
