Hot off her turn in The Dukes of Hazzard, Jessica Simpson may be ready to act again. The singer/ reality star and Pizza Hut commercial spokeslady is reportedly in talks to return to Hollywood to act in a reboot that has been rumored for years.
That reboot is, of course, Baywatch. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper that Jessica has been cast as a lifeguard in a big screen version of the cheesy babes and boobs television show Baywatch. Official sources haven't confirmed the move yet, but it's not hard to imagine her fitting nicely into the red bikini made famous by Pam Anderson.
Baywatch movie rumors have been floating around for awhile, but nothing ever seemed to come of it. If there's a director, screenwriter, or David Hasselhoff attached to the project along with Jessica, I haven't been able to find any evidence of it. But if Jessica Simpson really is attached to the picture, that could be what they need to finally get the project out of logjam over at DreamWorks and moving towards theaters.
