John Cusack Sports A Pair Of Wings In New Poster For The Raven
As first reported yesterday, you're going to have to wait a little while longer if you want to see James McTeigue’s The Raven. Late last night Relativity Media announced that they would be pushing back the thriller from its scheduled March 9th release date to April 27th. The reason behind the shift was unexplained, but it seems that the studio likes people talking about their movie and have released a brand new poster to keep the conversation going.
Only the second poster to be released for the film - the first was a Ralph Steadman-inspired piece that came out last July - the new one-sheet manages to be both stylish while also showing off the headlining star: John Cusack. You can check out the artwork below and see it full size over at EW.
I can't recall any Edgar Allan Poe stories that involve a large pair of wings, but I'm just going to roll with this one because it looks pretty cool. While I can't identify everything that's in red, I believe that's Alice Eve crying in the top left, Luke Evans looking serious on the bottom left and Brendan Gleeson sporting what looks like a mustache in the bottom right. Everything else is a bit too small for me to make out.
McTeigue's first film since 2009's Ninja Assassin, The Raven has Cusack playing Poe as he hunts down a serial killer whose murders are inspired by Poe's stories. If you'd like to see more from the film, be sure to head over to our Blend Film Database.
