The Killer Inside Me Poster Keeps The Violence Under Wraps

After its premiere at Sundance, The Killer Inside Me became notorious for its heavy dose of gratuitous violence against women. The New York Daily News even reported that Jessica Alba got up and left about halfway through the film's premiere screening, and that was probably a good decision. At the subsequent Q&A director Michael Winterbottom was shouted at by audience members outraged by the film's violence.

But if all you knew about this film came from its poster (via IMP Awards), you’d have no idea what you’re getting yourself into. Casey Affleck looks more like an embarrassed cowboy with frostbite than a sheriff with a terrible dark side. There’s nothing to like about Affleck in this image and according to Katey, nothing to like about him in the movie either. Check out the new poster below. The Killer Inside Me will be released later this year by IFC Films.
