Koontz Hits The Big Time

I've never had much use for Dean Koontz. He's had some interesting books such as the "Christopher Snow Series", "The Door To December", and "Watchers". But between his eerie resemblance to my Sixth Grade Teacher, some really dredful books such as "From the Corner Of His Eye", and the fact that all his novels use the same twist of "Look its supernatural, Oh wait I guess it wasn't." I've never been able to drum up much interest.

Then again to the best of my knowledge Koontz has never pulled a Steven King and ended a seven book, several thousand page series with a letter thanking me for my money and telling me to go fuck myself. So maybe I just haven't given him a fair shake.

According to Coming Soon Koontz's book The Husband is coming to the big screen. Koontz's prior adaptations have been, well, dismal. Either Poverty Row quickies that have nearly nothing to do with his books like Watchers or TV movies like "Intensity" that cannot even begin to put in his many MANY perversions. Lest we forget though Affleck was the bomb in Phantoms.

So will this film follow suit and dutifully suck? Or will we finally get to see on the big screen what countless fans have seen in their minds? Only time will tell.
