The first trailer for The Last Exorcism Part II only first arrived online last week - one week to the day, in fact - but already CBS Films has loaded up a bunch of scares to haunt you in a new, shorter trailer. Check it out below!

While I liked the first trailer quite a bit, finding it a strange and interesting way to continue the story from the first movie, I'm not quite sure I understand why this clip was released now - especially because it has so much of the same footage from the other one. This feels like a teaser trailer that should have been out months ago to give us a taste of what the new film will be like, but is instead only finding its way to us now because there's no other time to release it.
The Last Exorcism Part II begins with Nell Sweetzer (Ashley Bell) found cold and alone in the woods following her demonic events that occurred in the first movie. Taken in and given shelter and a community to be a part of, Nell slowly begins to recover, only to find that the spirit that once possessed her has returned and has a much bigger, more terrible plan in mind. Ed Gass-Donnelly directed the film and co-wrote the script with Damien Chazelle.
