The first official poster for Little Manhattan is here… yeah I know. I'd never heard of it either. But that's probably because until a few hours ago, it didn't have a US release date. The only thing scheduled for it was release in the Netherlands (odd since it is a movie about New York). But Fox is releasing it Stateside, first with a limited release in New York on September 30, and then maybe wider.
The film is the story of an 11 year-old fifth grader living on the Upper West Side of Manhattan… which probably means something to you New Yorkers. I on the other hand am just a simple Texan. Anyway, the kid gets into Karate, is partnered with a childhood friend named Rosemarry, and becomes smitten. It's a pre-teen love story with New York as a magical backdrop and Michael Jackson nowhere in sight.
