Lovelace First Look Photo Shows Amanda Seyfried And Peter Sarsgaard Looking Happy

Slowly but steadily, the cast of the upcoming pornstar biopic Lovelace has grown to include some very notable names, including Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Hank Azaria and Bobby Cannavale, not to mention stars Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard. While the film has yet to receive a release date, production has begun and we now have our first look at Seyfried as Linda Boreman, posed happily with her husband Chuck Traynor (Sarsgaard).
Directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, Lovelace will tell the story of adult film star Linda Boreman, or Linda Lovelace, as she was credited in her acting work, which included the famous 1972 X-rated movie Deep Throat. Entertainment Weekly posted the first look photo, which has the two leads smiling happily from the front seat of a vintage car, likely fitting to the 1970’s timeframe in which the story and film take place.
The happy image above seems contradictory to what we know of Boreman’s story. The actress admitted later in her life that she was abused and pushed into her career as an adult film star by her husband. So, either the smile is just an act, or maybe the photo depicts a happier moment from their marriage. Possibly even right at the very beginning, judging by the way Seyfried is holding up her hand, which sports a wedding band.
Entertainment Weekly has a slightly bigger version of the photo, as well as as a picture of the actual Linda Boreman, for those of you who’d like to see how well Seyfried matches the woman she’s portraying, here.
