Lucy Liu Rides Eliot Rockett
After co-starring opposite Cedric the Entertainer in the not all entertaining movie Code Name: The Cleaner, Lucy Liu needs to get down and dirty if she wants to reclaim whatever credibility she earned after working with Quentin Tarantino. To do that, she’s signed up for a little indie movie called Eliot Rockett for First Look Pictures.
It was Moviehole who first discovered her credit on the movie’s production page. She stars in the film alongside two other actors in desperate need of a credibility boost: Jimmy Fallon and Sharon Stone .
The movie is a dark comedy, the story of an insecure man “caught between his mother, his girlfriend and his insecurities.” Whatever that means. Sharon Stone would seem to be the obvious choice to be the mother, Lucy Liu the girlfriend, and Fallon the insecure dude. It’s First Look Pictures that’s describing it as a dark comedy, but it really sounds more like a stock relationship comedy to me. Actually, it sounds like a big-budget, stock relationship picture, not a independent dark comedy. But it’s directed by Patrick Sisam who’s other movies have all been low budget affairs, and First Look isn’t a major distributor so an Indie it must be.
