Man Of Steel Cast Broods And Moves Really, Really Fast In New Images
As Man of Steel gets closer and closer to its summer release date, the film’s secrets are still being wholly withheld from the public, albeit in interesting ways. And so with the overall specifics of its plot still deep under wraps, we have to rely on still shots of the film’s characters that offer nothing beyond a good look.
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, these new images of Superman and his friends and family certainly bring to mind the absence of action that the film’s trailers have already shown us. I don’t think I’m alone here in thinking an image of Superman flying very fast isn’t actually exciting, since the motion blurs obscure whatever he’s flying past.
But we’ve seen enough of Henry Cavill for now, haven’t we? And considering there’s nothing new to show of Michael Shannon’s General Zod, what about one of the baddies, the glamorous but terrifying Faora, played by Antje Traue:
And how about some of the film’s other big named co-stars? Well, all their photos look like they would pop up in family photo albums instead of being in a high octane summer blockbuster. Check them out below.
Russell Crowe looks stoic enough as Superman’s actual father Jor-El, and it will be very interesting to see how he fares when compared to Marlon Brando’s performance in Richard Donner’s original film.
Meanwhile, Perry White (Laurence Fishburne) and Lois Lane (Amy Adams), along with everyone else in the Daily Planet’s office, seem to be watching something truly engaging. And on the opposite side of style, the small towners Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner) and wife Martha (Diane Lane) seem to be dancing that fine line between confused and mildly disgusted. My guess is, Superman just landed and ruined all their crops or something.
Man of Steel motion blurs its way into theaters June 14, 2013.
