Apparently Shohreh Aghdashloo has no interest in taking a break. After making her name with the emotionally grueling drama House of Sand and Fog and starring in this year's true-life, self-explanatory The Stoning of Soraya M., she's set to start in an another indie drama, The No Game, this one about a young Jewish woman who finds out her birth mother is Palestinian.
Marcia Gay Harden is also in negotiations to star, according to THR, to play the girl's adoptive mother. Aghdashloo would play the biological aunt, who lives in Brooklyn and immediately bonds with the girl.
What's funny, as THR points out, is that Harden beat out Aghdashloo for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2004, and they're also up for Emmys against each other this year, for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie. I guess all that rivalry will help them when they have to pretend their people have been duking it out across the Gaza Stirp.
