Metcalfe's Hunky Film Debut
Jesse Metcalfe is madly in love with me. He just doesn't know it yet.
In order to pass the time until fate brings us together, Reuters reports that Metcalfe is making his film debut in 20th Century Fox's John Tucker. His recent gig as the sexy adonis gardener on "Desperate Housewives" has catapulted him into the spotlight, and many female's fantasies. In the movie, he will play a serial heartbreaker whose three ex-girlfriends try and teach him a vicious lesson. They will set him up with the new girl in town in hopes that he will fall for her, and she will dump his sorry ass.
Although I have not seen the movie yet, I predict one of the following will occur: A) The girl will actually fall in love with him, much to the ex-girlfriends' dismay, B) She will be interested in him, until she learns of his cheating ways and then break his heart, or C) They will all go crazy in a wild rampant orgy to release tensions. While that would certainly be the most exciting outcome, it's a safe bet that it will head the generic route instead.
John Tucker will be directed by Betty Thomas (Private Parts, Doctor Dolittle) and written by Jeff Lowell. He has written for several successful television shows, including "Drew Carey" and "Just Shoot Me". Hopefully his dry sense of humor will breathe some life into the bland romantic comedy genre. Filming begins this summer in New Orleans.
