Miami Vice Teaser Trailer
Miami Vice has never looked so...hip hop? From the looks of the teaser trailer Michael Mann blended concepts from past films Heat and Collateral, rolled them up in "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" for kicks, lit that sucker up, inhaled, and blew out a very smoky-looking adaptation of Miami Vice.
Actually, it may be more of a Bad Boys meets Lethal Weapan...hard to tell. Either way the teaser seems to indicate that Mann is glossing over the fact that his movie is an eighties television show adaptation by coating it in a hefty layer of everything that would guarantee it gets the harshest rating without going NC-17. The good news? Hopefully lots of action. The bad news? Likely lots of really lame dialogue.
If you need further proof of that suspicion, consider where the trailer is being hosted: The Bacardi web site. You have to be 18 (or willing to lie about it) to get into to see Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx as Crockett and Tubbs.
