Milla Jovovich And Ali Larter Are Back And Looking Badass In Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Photo
We’ve known for some time that Milla Jovovich’s Alice and Ali Larter’s Claire Redfield would reunite one last time for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter – that doesn’t make seeing the reunion any less badass. Jovovich just posted a selfie from the film’s set, and our appetites for more undead action have officially been whetted. Check the photo out for yourself below.
Posted to the actress’ Instagram account, the photo is your run of the mill selfie. There’s not much to glean from the photo itself, but let’s dissect what we can. Alice is looking fairly battered, hinting at some fairly intense action for the final installment of the movie. She appears to wear some form tactical vest – where else will she carry her usual arsenal? The Resident Evil films have varied in visual aesthetic over the years, from practical and tactical to more stylized costumes and design. From what little we get to see here, it seems like The Final Chapter will veer more towards the former.
There’s less to note about Larter’s appearance in the photo – which shows even less of her costume. She seems considerably less injured that Jovovich, either indicating Redfield won’t be at the forefront of the action as much as Alice, or that she simply wasn’t shooting any scenes. Despite the fact that this selfie only features these two specific actresses, we already know that the final Resident Evil will boat a massive and impressive cast including: Iain Glen, Ruby Rose, and Shawn Roberts.
Behind the two actresses is a wall covered in license plates, possibly hinting that at some point in the film, their characters will either engage in a fight – or seek refuge – within a garage of some sort. Longtime fans of the franchise will particularly like the brief glimpse of a Raccoon City plate behind them.
Jovovich has done an effective job of getting fans excited about the upcoming project. As far back as this past June she began posting photos to her Instagram from the South Africa based production of The Final Chapter, ranging from this selfie with Ali Larter, to shots from the special effects department as the prepare the zombies that will inhabit the film.
With Resident Evil: The Final Chapter truly the final chapter of the franchise, we have taken every opportunity to take in and dissect every possible detail we can get our hands on. As more and more information becomes available, we will be sure to analyze it for your reading pleasure. Written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter will hit theaters January 27, 2017.
