Mirren Hitches
With the film set to hit theaters next month, it might seem a little late to be engaging in Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy casting. But, according to my favorite HHG fansite, Planet Magrathea, that’s just what’s going on.
British actress Helen Mirren is lending her voice to the Adam’s adaptation. Her role? She’s the voice of Deep Thought, the super-intelligent computer designed to answer the Ultimate Question. Mirren is the fourth British talent to lend her voice to the film, joining Alan Rickman as the voice of Marvin, Stephen Fry as the voice of The Guide, and Bill Bailey as a Whale who encounters the ground alongside a lovely bowl of petunias.
The film opens April 29 in the UK and the USA, but those froods in New Zealand and Australia get it a day earlier. The Afghanistan premiere, will presumable occur much much later.
