Mirror Mask Trailer
When the Jim Henson Company finally sold off the rights to the original, beloved Muppet characters to Disney… it was so they could do this. The movie is Mirror Mask, and it's Jim Henson's legacy taken to the next step. They're trying to move beyond simple children's entertainment into a more adult realm, as Jim himself tried to do with brilliant works of art like The Dark Crystal. They've already had one critical success, the incredible, adult, and sadly cancelled Sci-Fi Channel television show "Farscape", but this is the next step. With lucky, maybe it'll be a financially successful step for once as well.
Though the vision and genius of Jim Henson the man is gone, the Jim Henson Company has already proven itself a haven of amazing artistry, even in his absence. I'll be rooting for Mirror Mask, and if you're wondering if you should too, check out this original, beautiful trailer for the first collaboration between the artists of the Henson Company and dark, visually invigorating fantasy author Neil Gaiman. I recommend a RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE AS. You'll want to re-watch it later.
