Monday Movie Memo: What Batman V Superman Needs To Share With Us Next
J.J. Abrams and Zack Snyder are very protective of their respective properties, Star Wars: Episode VII and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Except, it appears, when they are sharing footage and imagery to please each other (and themselves).
Abrams and Snyder engaged in a very public, and very amusing, battle of Internet memes recently, blending their pop-culture universes in a series of footage-shares that are very 2014. If you missed it, I’ll embed the clever online shares below. Hoping that this give-and-take continues as both directors work through production, I started a conversation about what I hope Zack Snyder decides to share next from the set of Batman v Superman. Join the conversation by listening to the Monday Movie Memo above.
This Tweet, shared by Zack Snyder, started the ball rolling. It shows Gotham cops arresting Stormtroopers for allegedly stealing the new Batmobile:
J.J. Abrams saw that Tweet, and raised us one video of a Batmobile attached to the bottom of the Millennium Falcon.
The ball is in your court now, Mr. Snyder. What are you planning to share next? Listen to our Monday Movie Memo, perhaps. Take a few of our suggestions. Let’s keep this game going, gentlemen. We have a long way to wait until your actual blockbusters open in theaters, and this is a great way to help pass the time!
