More Snakes News
So many people went ga-ga over the Snakes on a Plane trailer the other day that the movie has officially reached a ridiculous level. This means you can expect us to report even the most lowly piece of news about the movie. Wanna know how many breaths Snakes star Samuel L. Jackson takes in a normal day? We’ll find out.
In this case however, the news is a little more related to the movie. According to the movie’s production blog, the cast and crew were recalled for re-shoots in order to push the movie’s rating from “PG-13” to “R”. Now that’s a breath of fresh air. These days too many films are trying to cater to that “PG-13” market. The idea that Snakes is going for the “R” rating is really pushing it into cult status.
I predict right now kids will be sneaking into this film left and right in order to see Jackson take on snakes. More people will be guiltily admitting they saw Snakes than seeing Sharon Stone perform sex acts in Basic Instinct 2 (well, that’s not much of a comparison, is it?). They might as well make Snakes the first movie to sell on DVD the day it hits theaters. It’s going to be that crazy a film – the type of movie that totally skews studio reports, and none of the executives will even know why.
Thanks to Filmstalker for the tip.
