Motion Poster For The Darkest Hour Shows Off The Aliens' Awesome Power
One of the greatest things the sci-fi thriller The Darkest Hour has going for it is the way that the aliens dispose of the human race. As you saw in the trailer, the extraterrestrials are not only made of pure energy, but absorb it as well. This means that when one of the aliens touches you, you disintegrate into nothingness. It's a cool concept and an even cooler effect, making it understandable why Summit Entertainment would use it for the film's first motion poster. Check it out below.
Directed by Chris Gorak and produced by Timur Bekmambetov, The Darkest Hour stars Emile Hirsch and Max Minghella as best friends who travel to Russia on business. While there they go out to a party in a nightclub, when suddenly all of the electricity goes out. Teaming up with a pair of women the meet (Olivia Thirlby and Rachael Taylor), they discover the horrible secret behind the incident: the entire world is under alien attack.
