Whenever American filmmakers can't come up with a good idea for a sequel, they just move whatever happened in the previous movie into Europe. I had no idea that British writers considered that an acceptable tactic as well. But then as my friends over the in UK are always telling me, England isn’t really part of Europe.
The European vacation contrivance seems to be the route Rowan Atkinson is taking for his sequel to Mr. Bean. He’s calling the second film Mr. Bean’s Holiday, and sending the ever silent Bean on a trip to France. Apparently he couldn’t find enough things to make a disaster of at home.
The first trailer is out on the net. To me it looks more like some sort of strange credit card advertisement than a movie trailer. See what I mean, by watching it below:
