New Music Video Marries AC/DC And Iron Man Into Awesomeness
When the first trailer for Iron Man 2 popped up online last month, many remarked (including myself) that AC/DC's "Shoot To Thrill" was used to perfection - a high energy song about guns for a high energy movie with guns. Obsessive geeks may also remember that the band's "Back in Black" was the song played during the intro of the first film. So is there a way that we can get even more out of this holiest of unions? How about a best of compilation and a concert music video?
THR is reporting that Marvel and Columbia Records have struck a deal that will release "AC/DC: Iron Man 2" two weeks prior to the film's release. To promote it, fans have also been given a new music video that splices clips from the upcoming film with footage from the band in concert. Sure, it's a studio recorded track, 90% of the Iron Man 2 stuff was seen in the trailer and Angus Young looks like a bridge troll, but this is a match so perfect that all of its flaws will be immediately ignored. You also have to love those Iron Man dancers. Check out the video and a full track listing of the album below.
