Must Watch: Muppets Charity Work Gone Awry

When the Muppets were sold lock, stock, and googly eyeballs to Walt Disney a lot of people were worried. When Jason Segel’s new Muppet movie is released we’ll finally get to see whether it pays off in great new Muppet content, but one of the thing about their new ownership that made me happy was the possibility of the Muppets being pushed by Disney’s savvy marketing.

The fantastic little video embedded below is proof that Disney knows what it’s doing with Kermit and the gang. It’s a commercial for Disney’s theme parks, featuring the Muppets donating their time to charity by constructing a home. As you’d expect, things don’t exactly go smoothly. But it features a lot of the things which have always made the Muppets great. They’re interacting with real people, in a real environment, blowing each other up, sawing in all the wrong places, and in general creating absolute Muppet hilarity.

If you’re not already a Muppet fan this won’t do much for you, but if you are, make sure you hit play:
