Nic Cage Wants To Remake Ghost Rider As Eurotrash
In a perfect world, Nic Cage would abandon is blockbuster aspirations and go back to, you know, making good movies.
In a perfect world, Nic Cage would abandon is blockbuster aspirations and go back to, you know, making good movies. Instead he’s spending his time inventing new ways to say “remake”.
It seems Cage hasn’t given up on making more Ghost Rider movies, only he’s not so much interested in sequels as he is in remaking it. Or as he puts it while talking to MTV, “I would like to do a reconceive.” Is that even a word?
This isn’t just some wild, Nic Cage flight of fancy. He says, “I would like to go in a whole other direction, and I think that’s what they’re talking about.” The move in Cage’s brain would have Ghost Rider heading to Europe where he’ll team up with the Catholic Church. That sounds more like a sequel than a reconcieve to me. Reconcieve, re-imagining, or remake it’s all the same. The other movie’s still fresh in our minds, it’s a little soon to talk remake and if they are going to do a remake… shouldn’t step one be hiring someone besides Cage to play the part? Otherwise, what’s the point?
