Nicholas Hoult To Play A Zombie In Warm Bodies
If you don't already know the name Nicholas Hoult it won't be long until you do. After starring on the hit UK show Skins, the actor caught many people's attention with his role in Tom Ford's A Single Man in 2009. Since then he's been cast in the role of Hank McCoy/Beast in X-Men: First Class and, most recently, landed the coveted title role in Bryan Singer's Jack The Giant Killer. He's certainly not done yet, though, as he's just been cast in another role.
A press release has been sent out announcing that Nicholas Hoult will now star in Warm Bodies, a film adaptation of the book by Isaac Marion. In the movie the actor will play R, a "existentially tormented zombie" who befriends the girlfriend of one of his victims. The relationship then begins to change the character and leads to a chain reaction that could affect the entire zombie world. Jonathan Levine, director of The Wackness, will write and direct the film.
Between this and the in-development Breathers: A Zombie's Lament, it would seem that the reanimated corpses falling in love is the new "it" thing for 2011. God forbid we ever get a version of Twilight with zombies.
