Operation Kino #61: Reviewing And Digging Deep Into The Avengers
This week on Operation Kino we're assembling our own team of earth's mightiest heroes, as we review first the superhero movie that every single one of us like, The Avengers. From there we jump into a conversation about where the Marvel movies might be headed after The Avengers, including the potential for another Hulk movie, Iron Man 3, and what superhero movies ought to do next in general. Before any of that, though, we've got a lightning round devoted to the summer's smaller movies, and then tidbits, in which Da7e gives us the lowdown on the indie multimedia project Jurassic Park Slope, Katey fills you in on the weekend's smaller release The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, David is fed up with movie marketing masquerading as movie criticism, and Patches gives some details from the set of the new James Bond movie, Skyfall. We end, as always, with your lightning round answers for dessert.
Take a listen below and find your downloading options; for more from all of us, you can follow the show (@opkino), Da7e (@da7e), David (@davidehrlich or @CriterionCorner), Patches (@misterpatches) and Katey (@kateyrich) on Twitter.
