This week on Operation Kino, we've wandered into the dark forest with the help of a conveniently available white horse, as we review the new fairy tale adaptation Snow White and the Huntsman. From there we get into a surprisingly contentious conversation about modern-day takes on fairy tales, how popular they've become and how other movies can adapt fairy tales more successfully than Snow White and the Huntsman did. Before any of that, though, there's a lightning round inspired by Piranha 3DD and tidbits with our special guest Kristy Puchko, stepping in for David this week; Da7e talks about Men in Black 3, Kristy wonders why you're not talking more about Veep, Katey worries about all the May movies except The Avengers doing so badly, and Patches defends Tom Hooper on the occasion of the Les Miserables trailer. We end, as always, with your lightning round answers for dessert.
Take a listen below and find your downloading options; for more from all of us, you can follow the show (@opkino), our special guest Kristy (@kristypuchko), Da7e (@da7e), David (@davidehrlich or @CriterionCorner), Patches (@misterpatches) and Katey (@kateyrich) on Twitter.
